About this tool

Long API responses are hard to read as text. The tree viewer lets you open only the branches you care about, shows how many items each one holds, and searches keys and values. Rows load on demand, so large documents stay responsive, and values are shown exactly as written in the source.

How to use it

  1. Paste JSON or import a file.
  2. Expand branches, or use expand all and collapse all.
  3. Search for a key or value to reveal its location.

Example

Input
{"user":{"id":7,"roles":["admin","dev"]}}
Output
user {2}
  id: 7
  roles [2]
    0: "admin"
    1: "dev"

Questions

How large a file can it open?
That depends on your device's memory, because everything runs locally. The tree only renders the rows on screen, so large documents remain scrollable once parsed.
Does search find values as well as keys?
Yes. Search is case-insensitive, covers both, and expands the tree to show the first matches.
Why are big numbers shown correctly here?
The viewer displays the original source text for each value instead of a parsed JavaScript number, so nothing gets rounded.
